DISCURSO DE RAFAEL MONTERO, PRESIEDENTE ENTRANTE DE LA

UNION DE ESCRITORES DE MONSEÑOR NOUEL (UEMON).

Esto es una unión de escritores, más bien, somos un grupo de amigos deseosos de contribuir y crear. Quizás por lo antes dicho, pienso que somos la institución más sana, más sensible y más unida, somos un modelo a imitar en esta provincia, el país y el mundo. Por ejemplo, en las elecciones pasadas nos reuníamos los candidatos y comentábamos nuestros planes y como favorecerían a la Unión y la sociedad, nos asesorábamos mutuamente y en cada una de nuestras actividades y discursos tratábamos de sembrar valores en aquellos (as) que nos escuchaban. En esta Unión hemos hecho un gran esfuerzo por colocarnos más allá del bien y del mal como intitulara Nietzsche uno de sus libros. Tratamos de no caer en pasiones, ambiciones y miedos que nos harían merecedores de lo que expresaba el Zarathustra en la página 42 de la obra citada cuando escribió lo siguiente refiriéndose a los filósofos a los cuales sustituyo con el concepto intelectuales: Lo que nos mueve a risa en los intelectuales es su falta de honestidad, pues llaman verdad a su “fe” a la cual ellos les han añadido unas razones justificadoras. Los intelectuales son meros defensores abogados de su fe y, por lo tanto, gentes dispuestas a utilizar cualquier ardid con tal de que su “convicción” salga triunfante. (Nietzsche frente a dogmas, nosotros a antivalores)

Ese gran esfuerzo que hacen los escritores nouelenses por colocarse más allá del bien y del mal es, quizás, entrar en el camino correcto de la duda eliminando la voluntad, y dejando abiertas todas las posibilidades para acercarnos a la meta imposible de llegar a la verdad y la belleza a través de nuestra pluma.

El gran pensador Immanuel Kant explicó, en su libro “La Crítica de la razón Pura”, que la mente humana es lo que podríamos llamar “una fotocopiadora de objetos e ideas o fenómenos”. El cerebro forma, dentro de sí, una realidad virtual o imagen o fotocopia de lo que pudo percibir.

A esta idea del Königsbergiano, el Jean Piaget agregó cien años después que aprendemos por aproximaciones sucesivas, es decir, repeticiones o que mientras más fotocopias tomemos del objeto o tema que percibimos más clara es la fotocopia o imagen virtual que construimos en la mente, pero a fin de cuentas sólo es eso, una imagen o interpretación, un invento o construcción individual o personal de partes del mundo, mientras la verdad sigue ahí afuera inalcanzable para nosotros los seres humanos.

Si yo pudiese escudriñar y observar dentro de la mente de cada uno de ustedes quizás compararía esas construcciones dentro de sus cerebros con un barrio, o un municipio como Bonao, o quizás los más instruidos han construido una gran ciudad como Santo Domingo, entonces somos ricos porque como dijo Fedro, el hombre instruido tiene siempre la riqueza en sí mismo, pero esa riqueza no nos daría derecho a creer que la verdad es nuestra porque así como existen estrellas a distancias de cientos, miles o millones de años luz, también existen luces las cuales creemos que son estrellas, pero las mismas hace cientos miles o millones de años que han desaparecido, no existen realmente pero allí están y estarán quizás a lo largo de toda nuestra vida esos destellos de luz que erróneamente construimos en nuestra mente como si fuesen estrellas porque son similares a todas las estrellas que existen realmente. Esto que estoy diciendo sólo es una reflexión, quizás para que nos mantengamos simples y que la riqueza en conocimientos, nunca llegue a estimular en nosotros la soberbia y por el contrario nuestra instrucción nos ayude a que todos seamos cada vez más sensatos al expresar nuestras ideas, y más tolerantes y receptivos a las opiniones de los demás, para que, como dijo el Rey Salomón los conocimientos nos conviertan cada día en personas más humildes, nos conviertan en sabios, y faciliten nuestro acercamiento al corazón de todos los demás seres humanos y a la meta inalcanzable de llegar a la verdad o a la verdadera belleza.

En otro sentido, hay dudas acerca de quien es escritor y quien no lo es. El Diccionario de la Lengua Española Espasa-Carpes 2005 define escritor (a) como persona que escribe. Coincide con Aristóteles quien escribió hace alrededor de 2, 300 años que “uno es lo que hace cada día”, y les recordaría que Platón, Aristóteles y Kant son considerados por una gran mayoría el hilo conductor de los grandes conocimientos humanos.

Entiendo que no es necesario un titulo de escritor, y si alguien lo tuviese creo que no lo necesita para ser escritor, por cuanto a mi entender, las puertas de esta Unión deben estar abiertas a todo el que escriba siempre y cuando dicha persona desee servir a la sociedad perteneciendo o sirviendo a la Unión junto a sus miembros.

También, somos una organización sin fines de lucro. Después de los gobiernos y las empresas privadas, las organizaciones honoríficas constituyen lo que los pensadores postmodernos han llamado el tercer aspecto, o motor, que mueve o desarrolla las sociedades. Como organización somos parte importante para lograr el desarrollo.

En otro aspecto, Peter F. Drucker expresa en su obra La Sociedad

Postcapitalista que “El

conocimiento se está convirtiendo actualmente en el único factor de producción, y ha puesto a un lado tanto al capital como al trabajo. Los escritores trabajamos con el conocimiento y los sueños, somos parte del único factor eficiente de producción. Como trabajadores del conocimiento somos parte de la vanguardia en la lucha por el desarrollo.

También, para ser competentes en cualquier área necesitamos tres aspectos: Necesitamos conceptos, no puede existir un médico que no conozca los nombres de todas las partes del cuerpo humano, enfermedades etc., necesitamos procedimientos, no puede haber un medico que no sepa hacer cosas: poner inyecciones, diagnosticar, operar, etc. Pero lo más importante, y que más necesita un médico, y todos nosotros son valores. No puede haber un médico competente si es presa de vicios. Por ejemplo no nos gustaría que nos opere un médico embriagado. O que nuestra esposa vaya a consulta con un médico pervertido, etc. Un valor es todo lo que mejora nuestra vida y/o la de los demás. Los escritores de Monseñor Nouel encarnamos valores. Con nuestra pluma hemos contribuido en el proceso de prevenir y curar la parte que hoy está sana en la sociedad y del avance de la misma. Porque, como expresó G. Mazzini, “El verdadero instrumento de progreso radica en el factor moral” Como personas sanas somos una potencia moral.

Por lo antes dicho, la sociedad esta esperando que asumamos nuestro rol, que vayamos a ella, que nos integremos a ella, que ayudemos a curarla, que la impulsemos y la orientemos, porque somos parte de lo más importante y lo más sano que existe, porque esta época es nuestra, esta sociedad es nuestra. “Adelante quijotes escritores, con conocimientos, humildad, y amor lancémonos a rescatar y mejorar el mundo”.

What I am saying is not truth, only a reflection, perhaps to our wealth of knowledge that does not encourage pride, and instead our instruction to help us all to be ever more judicious in expressing our ideas, and more tolerant and receptive to the views of others so that, as King Solomon said knowledge every day we become more humble people, we become wise, and facilitate our approach to the unattainable goal of getting at the truth or the real beauty.

There are doubts about who is a writer who is not. The Dictionary of the Spanish Language 2005 defines Carpes Espasa-writer (a) as a person who writes.
